Freezing in Central Park and Thawing Off in Macy's

On Monday I did my last ‘must do’ that I planned for this trip – a visit to ‘Central Park’. I walked up from my hotel – I thought I’d check out 5th Avenue on the way. On Monday it was absolutely freeeezing!!! So I nipped in to Central Park on the south side – I saw the ice-skaters, which was cool:


then I hopped off back downtown along 7th Av.

Back near Times Square I headed into a cafeteria to keep my strengths up and thaw off a bit before a last spot of shopping. I went in for a sandwich but a slice of the famous New York Cheese cake caught my eye. I dispensed with sensible eating options long enough to pick up a big slice of cheese cake and an enormous coffee:


Not sure if it was the hyper-caffeine sugar hit that did it but I then went into Macys and did a few circuits of their store which I think is about 9 blocks 6 stories… I did pick up one thing from Macy’s for you – after what you said on the phone I'm wondering if you’re a ‘wouldn’t normally shop at Macy’s girl’ or a ‘Wouldn’t be seen dead with anything from Macy’s’ haha! Not to worry, it not the main thing I got you : )
